Did you catch Wednesday’s Wild episode with Dr Louise Newson - arguably one of the world’s leading menopause and perimenopause experts - chatting about the politics and challenges of the conditions? Here it is:
As many of you here know, I did a call out for questions to put to Louise. I cover a few in the original (Wednesday) interview. But not all…as some were a bit more granular and medical, and needed a rapid-fire QnA session.
Bless Louise, she agreed to do this EXTRA episode where I fire off the questions listed below (and sorry to those of you whose questions I couldn’t get to).
As per the disclaimer I run in the podcast episode, Louise shares medical information in this chat. Obviously, consult your own doctor before making any medical decisions.
If you have further questions, whack them in the comments. No doubt someone in the subscriber community will have a suggestion or answer. I’ll also check in with Louise and Leah (my Australian specialist, see details below) to see if they might be able to chime in!
As an FYI reader Alana alerted me to this:
In Australia, (HRT) is called MHT (Menopausal Hormone Therapy - or Treatment)? I believe that was in an attempt to shift the stigma and remove the word “replacement”, to move away from the deficit-framing.
