So, I’ve started this series of my favourite hikes, most of which are featured in This One Wild and Precious Life. You can catch up on the first post in the series, here:
That first guide was available to everyone, but the rest in the series will be for the paid community only. In all cases, I’ve put together information on the route. In most cases, I’ve researched the tightest, coolest circuit experience that takes you from village to village (“pub-to-pub”) so that you can stay in cute and affordable accommodation each night, and that incorporates incredible culinary experiences, too. Oh, and the routes are generally accessible by train from a major city. Yeah, you’re welcome.
Where appropriate I added links to luxury options (ie for baggage services, quirky art or community experiences etc) and a couple with the passage from my book where the hikes appear.
OK, to my favourite UK adventures:
a multi-day jaunt along a pirate trail in Cornwall (St Ives to Penzance)
a pub-to-pub extravaganza that took me through Dorset, Somerset and Wilshire (and through Guy Ritchie’s private property)
plus, my Lake District hikes.
