HEY EVERYONE...E.Jean Carroll wrote a note to me and it's fabulous.
This week is a weird mix of bits and pieces, possibly reflecting the fact I’m in transit living on Boris bikes between friends’ homes in London and about to head to Barcelona for a writer’s retreat I was awarded. I’ll be doing some events in Barcelona, too, for the launch of This One Wild and Precious Life in Spanish. Anyone got mates there? I’ll share details for the events shortly (late May and mid June).
E.Jean Carroll wins her case against Trump…plus her letter to me!
A jury in Manhattan has found former President Donald Trump liable for sexually abusing and defaming the whip smart advice columnist E. Jean Carroll. This Daily podcast did a great overview of the whole thing, including the history of the special law allowing women like Carroll to come forward. It includes grabs from Carroll, who I have been obsessed with for years (when I was editor of Cosmo, we all frothed over her Elle column) and she has agreed to come on Wild soon. Her letter to me speaks to her vibe.
