I am angry, and I am done feeling powerless. I have digital marketing skills, which I want to put to work for an independent candidate, but there isn't one in regional WA, at least one I've been able to find. What do you think about a project to create a volunteer database where your group of independent candidates could find resources/ skills/ people they need? I'm happy to help make this happen.

I resonate with this so much. For me - as a Ukrainian but also with everything else going on locally and in the world - I guess it's both the overwhelm but also that sinking feeling of heavy heartedness. Is that even a way to describe it? Angry, anxious for everyone affected, but also really treasuring the ones close to me and what we have.A good reminder to not hide away from these strong feelings. I do try to channel them into something useful and positive as much as I can.

Collective overwhelm. At least we know we still have the ability to feel things collectively. Next step, collective take down of the Coalition 🤞

My anger is here with full force! I’m angry at it all, and even angry at those that aren’t angry. “What is wrong with you, wake up”, I want to scream!

Good, strong advice, Sarah. Embracing those emotions, facing them full on, and expressing them is a human necessity. It heals us, and it drives us to be stronger in our opposition to all that is wrong. "Constructive anger" is how I think of it, a controlled redirection of our rage into something useful and permanent.

Great advice Sarah. However welcome and comforting happiness is, we need to take on feelings of sadness, loss and absolute despair with the same consideration and relevance as we do with feelings of joy and happiness. There is much to learn from running the full gamut of emotions. Sending much love and respect Xx

Hello again.

This is what I think would be super helpful - directions on how we find our relevant climate focussed candidates to vote for in our electorate. In both Houses of Parliament. Then I can contact them directly to volunteer to flyer etc. I’m ready to get stuck in but don’t know who to fly into action for.

Honestly I’ve not been able to stop thinking about this latest revolting Sco Mo news. It’s so incredible disheartening :(

I'm angry too Sarah! I'm in Camden, which is in Angus Taylor's Hume electorate. We were affected by the flood this week, with half the town under water. Nowhere near the extent of other towns mind you, with damage to only a few homes and businesses and a handful of residential streets evacuated. Obviously I want Angus & the Libs out, but I'd like to know who our best bet is. From what I can see I've got Greg Baines in Labor and Penny Ackery as an Independent, but LNP have held the seat of Hume since the 70's I think? I contacted Penny Ackery to ask about her policies, particularly around climate, as her website and socials were pretty blank on policy detail. She posted this week that she won't be taking donations from fossil fuel donors etc, but also C200 and GetUp. When I asked her about the last two, she responded that she needs to remain more neutral because the region were so Liberal leaning that they wouldn't want to see someone so invested in climate (something to that affect). Who's my vote best suited to, and what hope do we have of getting Angus out of this seat?
