" Real emergencies are cinch, compared with the stuff that goes on in my head "

Winston churchill example

We are more resilient than we are given credit.

Ive sometimes used the clancy quote " you can always kill yourself tomorrow "

I say the only Purity left

Is and will always be NATURE. X

I agree, I think a big part of coming to acceptance with the probability of collapse is facing your own mortality and mortality of everything we take for granted. I also think it’s practice. It’s something that I find myself doing again and again. Xo

Thanks for this, Sarah. Curious to hear your thoughts on Rachel's question about 'vagus nerve collapse', but I didn't hear it in my first - admittedly sped up - listen. Can't see anything on it in the transcript either. Might this question be addressed in a future Q&A segment? Thanks!

Sarah, good to see you here on video. I love how the serialisation affects you in a positive way and “I need to rise to all the things I talk about”, “write in chaos” and come back to feelings and being human.” I love the process of “loose, vulnerable and unknowing” too. So you write your talk! There are lots of gems in this video which I will return to. Thanks

Umair also writes some interesting stuff on collapse - https://www.theissue.io/understanding-our-collapse-and-where-it-goes-from-here/?ref=the-issue-newsletter

As does Steffan - https://alexsteffen.substack.com/

In case not already seen...

Thank you Sarah . This AMA has brought tender relief to my grief, overwhelm and frustration. What is entailed in stepping up?....that question has returned me to the simplicity of it just being the next step, stepping up for my neighbour. So much to soak up from this.

Hi Sarah I have a question for you:

AMA-

🪴How do we encourage people to be more authentic and live in their truth in the context of our collective planetary awareness and caring deeply for our planet? How do we inspire and initiate that community mindset again?

...

I also have a comment for Wild community and some more questions to throw out into the universe:

This year I feel like my consciousness has done a somersault as I learn more on collapse, metacrisis, climate change, planetary boundaries, energy and the systemic problems of our time, right now. I say somersault because, a lot of it I already knew inherently, I suppose. I’ve noticed loads of new terms popping up like ‘collective individuation’, ‘emergence’, ‘new age’, ‘bioregions’ etc and no, I don’t think its due to ChatGPT. That is me being sarcastic, I digress...

✨I’m just wondering what your thoughts are on balancing left and right brain thinking, science and spiritual, to avoid falling down rabbit holes of ‘new ideas/ideologies or fears’ being discussed or marketed at us?

For example, when I was at the gym today I glanced at the tv and the evening news was defining the word ‘fascist’ and telling people to choose their words more carefully. I generally don’t watch the generic tv news because I have a tendency to ponder the subliminal messages and social conditioning- I’d rather read a book or a research paper/article from a reputable source. I certainly can not keep up with all the journalism and news as you do Sarah. You discern and weed through information and comments so well.

✨I guess the point of this long-winded comment is to ask for some pointers on how the everyday person can follow their intuition and discern better? I understand morality and values are the basis. I have seen good human attributes disappearing around me my whole life just as beauty and nature are being in destroyed in unison. Like a planetary unravelling because we are not separate to nature like we have been conditioned.

✨How do we gather the fibres and create a new tapestry out of the old paradigm?

Your writing and speaking on radical humanness makes sense and resonates compared to the alternative narratives of radical hope and radical optimism and tech optimism, etc.

Thanks for all your work in sense-making. It is so critical.
