Bravo, Sarah, great having you back in my inbox! I've missed you being there. Substack is fun. I have a couple of other writer nerds :) who use it to write posts that are a wee bit longer than the abbreviated ones we've danced around for 15 years. I much prefer the wee bit longer as it allows us to do just what Mary Oliver's poem calmly incites & you encourage us to ... sit in silence between the words and listen for the gold dust.

Looking forward to more of your gold dust, my friend. xx

the gold dust.... reckon you were one of the first sign-ups 15 years ago, Ian! I miss your spiritual insights. x

"And yet…? Will we keep reaching for the wine, the distraction, the tired patternings? Or will we get truly fresh and strange?" Let's get fresh and strange please!

S Wilson Admin's avatar

fresh and strange is what feels right to me too right now...stale and formulaic kills me

Hi Sarah, I’d love to know WHERE or HOW to start environmental education. I was not the ignorant, I had other priorities. I think it would be super useful to have a link in each newsletter on one topic for a week I might get to discover and to understand.

S Wilson Admin's avatar

that's a great idea...I shall!

Just finished Anika Molesworths book on climate in agriculture and would love to hear her interviewed!

I'll take a look - maybe for my podcast

I love your work Sarah and really look forward to hearing from you weekly :) Thank you for your learning, insight, research and generally sharing what is in your amazing brain. And also your wonderful adventures xoxo

So glad to have you back in my inbox Sarah. Your clarity and care on tricky and complex issues is what we all need more of at the moment xx

Thankyou Sarah for your wonderful words; makes looking at my emails a more delightful experience. I would love to hear you interview Khory Hancock otherwise known as the environmental cowboy. Both of you are fired up humans looking for solutions for climate change rather than just talking about the crisis and would love to hear you discuss solutions and experiences :)

S Wilson Admin's avatar

Hmmm, Khory is one of the reasons I'm opting to do my conversing here. He's trolled me pretty badly.

oh my goodness, I am so sorry to hear that Sarah. That is absolutely awful and an eye-opener for me for sure. Didn't think he would be like that. Just goes to show how social media personalities sometimes aren't what they seem. Will make me more careful in choosing my "disciples" in the future. Thank you for being your honest and wild self and don't let anyone dim your energy. I absolutely love your work and has helped me become a more fired-up human.

Dear Sarah, just like everyone else I'm also glad to see you back in my inbox. Thank you for your work; I must have signed up to your e-list more than a decade ago, still feeling your freshness and vibrancy pouring through. I'm also publishing about anxiety, addiction, recovery and awakening on this platform. <3

So glad you’re back, your way with words never ceases to bring calm. I hope you are doing ok in lockdown over the ditch. Take much care. :)

Busting to break free...but keeping busy x

Perfect timing, thank you. Social media is all a bit too much right now, but I’ve been missing the good content - so appreciate being able to get it in my inbox to read slowly and deliberately and ponder… :)

I need quieter and more considered, too.
